Denman Island is seeking a full time physician to join our island practice. We are a full service family practice operating Monday to Friday, 9-5, with no hospitalist or ER coverage required. We currently have 1 full time physician and are seeking another who is interested in work-life harmony, giving you plenty of time to explore our west coast paradise!
Denman Island is a quiet community, home to many artists and farmers, many beautiful trails and beaches. Our local community hall puts on great music venues and community dinners. We are connected to Vancouver Island via a short 10 minute cable ferry. We are within 30 minutes (including our ferry) of Courtenay BC with all its amenities. You can be at Mount Washington in under 45 minutes giving you enough time to take a morning off to catch a powder day. Hornby island, dubbed “little Hawaii” is only a 10 minute ferry ride off Denman’s east coast, providing easy access to this tourist haven and it’s great mountain bike trail network.

No problem. Beautiful youthful communities like Cumberland with its vibrant downtown and access to the best Mountain Biking scene in Canada is an easy commute. Vibrant Courtenay & charming Comox are an easy commute as well.
As a full time physician you have the opportunity to work 3.5 clinic days on a salaried contract, allowing you time to stay on top of paperwork. Our clinic uses Telus Med Access EMR. Your salaried contract will include an overhead support payment and our overhead is quite low :) Denman Island also qualifies for recruitment incentives.
